Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, I have always had a passion for creativity and problem solving. I started down the path of psychology, fascinated with figuring out how people think and why they do the things they do. After receiving my degree in psychology from the University of Arizona, I decided I needed a career path with more creativity. I then started pursuing a degree in Graphic Information Technology, which is a combination of Graphic Design and Information Technology. During my studying and practice, I discovered UX. UX is the perfect combination of my interest in people, design, and problem solving. So I have decided to go all in on UX.
In helping the Law Firm I work at, the Fiduciary company I just helped start, or the many personal and friend projects I have completed, I have had a lot of practice in the last five years. Between web design, graphic design, marketing, UX, UI, videography, and even some copywriting, I have had the chance to experience and learn many new things, for many different people.
I have started GearWorks as a vessel for my work, my journey, and to help people along the way. The name GearWorks comes from an analogy between my love of cars and design. When the the gears(designs) are working flawlessly, all you notice is how great the driving experience is. But all it takes is one misaligned gear, one misfiring piston, and now all you can notice is the problem. I believe design should be beautiful, seamless, effective and help the user enjoy the product to the fullest, and not get in their way of that enjoyment.
